Public speaking is more than delivering information—it is about creating connection, communicating ideas with clarity and leaving a lasting impression. However, many capable professionals experience anxiety or a lack of confidence when speaking in front of groups.
This practical and engaging session explores how individuals can develop a stronger, more confident approach to public speaking while remaining authentic to their own personality and communication style. Participants will gain practical strategies for preparing presentations, structuring messages, managing nerves and engaging different types of audiences.
The session draws upon more than a decade of real-world public speaking and performance experience, including presenting to audiences of up to 5,000 people through live music and events, as well as facilitating presentations, teacher training sessions and confidence-building workshops within educational and professional environments. Experience also includes delivering workshops for clients ranging from B Corps to professional law firms.
Rather than focusing on a one-size-fits-all presentation style, the session encourages participants to identify and develop their own authentic voice. Through practical techniques and interactive exercises, attendees will explore how voice, body language, storytelling, preparation and audience awareness can work together to create more impactful communication.
Participants will leave with practical tools they can immediately apply to presentations, meetings, workshops, pitches and other professional speaking opportunities.
Effective public speaking is an essential skill for professionals who need to communicate ideas clearly, build trust and inspire confidence. Whether presenting to colleagues, clients, senior leaders or larger audiences, the ability to speak with clarity and authenticity can significantly strengthen professional impact.
This interactive session provides practical techniques to help participants develop confidence, manage nerves and communicate with greater presence. Drawing on over ten years of experience speaking and performing before audiences of up to 5,000 people, alongside delivering training and confidence-building workshops in professional and educational settings, the session combines real-world experience with practical, accessible techniques.
Participants will learn how to structure a compelling message, engage an audience, use voice and body language effectively, and develop a more confident and authentic personal communication style.
